We just recently were hit with some snow up here to say the least and i decided to take some shots with my camera and put some music to it that i was working on at the time.
I finally got my Ikea stuff delivered so now i can have my production area setup and working again. So i woke up this morning and started recording some stuff to 1/4 tape again.
I got a roll of 120 film back from when i took a rollie with me to a trip to Miami so i decided to make another meditation session witha singing bowl photo that was on there.
Im working on a bunch of video censor videos and this is one i ended up doing tonight.
I sat down tonight with my monome and tape recorder and decided to mess with some rhodes sounds i recorded a few months back. Here is some footage of me layering those sounds.
This weekend i started working on some background textures to use in the upcoming shades of waves release.
Around 2009 i started going to a old mill that had been shut down in 75' to take field recordings on a regular basis, I had collected them for and sat on most of them until this year when i decided it would be fun to use them in a tape that would later be called Milltown.
The sounds collected are anything from natural ambience to using parts of the mill almost as a instrument. In this video you see me recording the turning of gears in a electrical box. Most of the recordings for this project were taken with a little zoom H4 handheld recorder.
Above you can see some footage of various parts of the mill i took video of back when i was recording.
Below you can see the finished cassette with hand hammered pine case. It is a limited edition run of 50 so get it while you can. Pick of a copy from A Giant Fern.
